The workshop will give Practice Managers, Dentists and Owners a greater understanding of employment law, the rights of both the employer and employee and how to manage HR-related issues within their dental teams.

Course Objectives

During the session the course provide will

• Explain the employment rights of the employer and employee and the consequences of breaching employment law.
• Illustrate how the law is interpreted by working through a number of ‘real-life’ situations from Dental Practices.
• Discuss ways of managing situations quickly, fairly and within the law.

Following the session, delegates will be able to:

• Deal with HR-related issues involving their employees more confidently and within the law
• Intervene in employee-related situations early to avoid them escalating
• Protect their Practice from employment tribunal claims by implementing their policies and procedures in the most effective manner.
